JA Worldwide to Serve as Founding Contributor to AI Skills Coalition

January 21, 2025

Today at the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) announced the AI Skills Coalition spearheaded by AI for Good under the AI for Good Impact Initiative. More than 25 organizations—including JA Worldwide—will serve as founding contributors to the AI Skills Coalition, the world’s most up-to-date platform for delivering AI skills, knowledge, and expertise.

In a world rapidly transformed by AI, the skills gap is not just a barrier—it’s a crisis that threatens to deepen global inequalities and stall inclusive growth. One of the initiative’s key focuses is to address the need for AI skills development of IT professionals, particularly in developing and Least Developed Countries and with a special focus on women and girls, to equip them with the tools and knowledge to support their governments, companies and organizations to leverage AI to foster sustainable development and establish solid AI governance frameworks.
