Brandie Conforti's Article on Partnerships Featured in The Diplomatic Courier

September 6, 2018

Big thanks to The Diplomatic Courier—the global affairs media network that specializes in international affairs, diplomacy, and social good—for publishing a thought-leadership piece from our Global Chief Development Officer, Brandie Conforti.

Brandie calls on her nearly two decades of experience to discuss the importance of partnerships in achieving the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs). In her paper, Brandie uses two recent JA partnerships as examples:

  • First, our STEM2D partnership with Johnson & Johnson, FHI 360, and the Smithsonian Science Education Center, which has enabled JA to include critical STEM skills as part of our work-readiness pillar, while giving our partners an opportunity to reach the 10 million youth JA serves each year.

  • Second, our partnership with The Global Education & Leadership Foundation (tGELF), which is allowing us to reach even more young people in India—where entrepreneurship and work-readiness skills are increasingly important—while giving tGELF a larger global platform for its critical leadership and ethics programs.

Both examples carry the hallmarks of great partnerships: Not only do all the partners benefit from the relationship, but young people—and the future they're helping build—benefit the most!
