European Entrepreneurship Education NETwork Holds Summit in Lille

The 2nd European Entrepreneurship Education Summit took place in Lille, France, July 4–5, 2019. The Summit gathered experts in entrepreneurship education, including EU and national policy-makers, government officials, educators, business leaders, and NGO representatives. The goal of the European Entrepreneurship Education NETwork (EE-HUB) is for every young person to have at least one practical entrepreneurial experience before leaving school.
The Summit stressed the need to increase the quantity, quality, and impact of entrepreneurship education in Europe in the coming years. Participants attended thematic plenary sessions with high-level keynote speeches, panel debates, and interactive discussions on topics such as strategic goals and financing streams, among others.
2019 key features included participation of key national and EU decision-makers and signing a “Call to Action,” the Company of the Year stand exhibition of top student companies from 40 European countries, a youth-awareness event including over 1,000 young people, and the launch of the Entrepreneurship Education Monitor, which aims to provide illustrated evidence of the benefits of entrepreneurship education, as well as the current trends across Europe.
